SOMAD’s real name is Amir Mahmud. He was born in East Java in 1983.
Somad is a self taught artist who has, as you can see, been heavily influenced by the art of Jean-Michel Basquiat and other modern 20th century American artists.
This is a collection of original paintings that represent his current body of work. After a couple of solo exhibitions Somad is now also hooking up with Tusk Gallery.
