Faye DePasquale is an Australian artist living in Melbourne. Faye works in a number off mediums including large and small works on canvas as well as water colour on paper, the pieces on paper are generally sold framed.
Faye’s inspiration is often drawn from outback Australia. When Faye visited the Australian outback she was overcome with the heightened color, vast expanses and patterned forms . This subject offered her a new freedom.
Another favourite subject is the rural landscape, particularly that of country Victoria (around the Mansfield area) where she lived for many years prior to moving back to Melbourne. She has remained strongly connected to this special place.
Faye has a significant background in art including diploma studies at Prahran Institute and teacher training (technical) at Hawthorn Institute.
She has taught art in secondary colleges to all levels and worked as a specialist art teacher with year 12 students teaching painting and art history for many years. More recently she has enjoyed working with adults, introducing them to a range of mediums, pastel, oil, watercolor, which has been a joy and extremely rewarding . During this time she has exhibited widely in both solo and group awards.
