Amanda is an Australian Artist born and raised on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Displaying natural creativity as a child her youth was spent painting and drawing whilst growing up on her family's country property.
After finishing secondary school Amanda studied Art and Design before beginning a career in business. In 2013 Amanda left the corporate workplace to pursue her life-long passion for Art. She is now painting full time in her studio and teaching art workshops and classes at Peninsula Art Space, a business she has recently established with fellow Artist and friend Christine Sharp. Amanda and Christine were Feature Artist at the 2015 Mt Eliza Art Show.
Amanda does not restrict herself to a single medium or subject and her current work is predominantly in acrylic, ink and mixed media. She is an accomplished pastel artist and loves to experiment with different products and textiles. Amanda's artwork is influenced by colour, pattern and texture and she draws her inspiration from nature, architecture and exotic colourful places like Morocco, Turkey and India.
Amanda Steadman uses fabric, paper and paint to produce beautiful mixed media works inspired by the colours and textures of Morocco, Turkey and India. To read more about her process please visit: http://tuskgallery.com/2016/01/20/inside-their-studio-amanda-steadman/
